four things

I have one more recommendation to get for school and then I can send everything in. I discovered yesterday that my boss's boss (my mega boss?) is an alumni of the school I'm applying to, which is cool since it's a tiny school in the middle of nowhere. I won't be attending on campus but it's still pretty cool. I mean, I'm doing the online thing specifically so I can keep my job (and, you know, my apartment and John's job and so on), but I do wish I could go away for school. That's something I've regretted about going to UMBC - that I didn't get to move somewhere new and get into a new place.

I wish it would get cold again (and stay cold) so the ants and stink bugs would stop coming back. Last week when it was cold we were fine. Since it got warm last saturday again, there are ants coming out of an electrical outlet and going nowhere since we moved the trash can they kept infesting. I'm just worried they're going to make their way over to Penelope's food bowl. It's not like we can take her food away if she doesn't finish it. The stink bugs are not back in force but there are a couple.

I'm making some cool crafty things for a swap where my partner likes retro video games and a bunch of other awesome things (like zombies and robots!). I finished a cool scarf and today plan to use my mom's sewing machine to make an awesome pillow and a copy if it for myself. And my coworker volunteered to give me this coaster kit she randomly has so I don't have to figure out how to make a printout protected enough to put something wet on top of it.

I got a free weird litter box in the mail from Bzzagent (mmm free samples). It uses these big pellets and it's made so the pee goes down through the pellets and through a grate in the bottom and onto a giant maxipad looking thing. So you don't have to scoop it, just pull out the drawer at the bottom and replace the pad thing. You still have to scoop the little poops, but that's easy since they don't break up at all. Except Penelope will only pee in it. Her old litter box is still there, though we haven't added more litter to it in a while so it's pretty low, and she still uses it but only for poop. So now she has made it so she has two litter boxes. A poop box and a pee box. I think that's weird. Though I'm glad she chose carefully to give us the least work.
